Detection
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity indices will be investigated before proceeding.
Types of Plagiarism
- Direct plagiarism: Verbatim copying of text without attribution or quotation marks
- Mosaic plagiarism: Assembling text from multiple sources with minor modifications
- Self-plagiarism: Reproducing significant portions of one's own previously published work without citation
- Idea plagiarism: Presenting another scholar's ideas as one's own without attribution
- Data plagiarism: Using another researcher's unpublished data without permission
Response to Plagiarism
If plagiarism is identified before publication, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors' institution may be informed. If discovered after publication, the article will be retracted per the Retraction and Correction Policy and COPE guidelines.
AI-Generated Text
Authors using AI writing tools must ensure AI-generated content is properly verified and attributed per the AI Use Policy. Use of AI tools does not exempt authors from plagiarism responsibilities.
